Personal draft
I find the world of Acting a very fascinating place of work,as we get to take on different role, jobs and challenges each day.Whenever,I perform on stage or have a different task to do I feel like I always grow as a person and i'm able to see a difference in my work as I make progress through my skills.Creativity could be one of the words I would put my image of Acting as because of my experience at my college I was able to open up new pathways and expand my horizons, such as;Have the chance to work with a company called 'The broken Heart Youth Theatre' which showed me the real side of Film making,Film Acting because the difference between theatre works and being on set is very different.I was able to see this by getting an extraordinary offer from my college to audition for a role of 'extra' in a short film and work with the company for around 10 days. This was one of
the best opportunities I received as I was able to see the difference which allowed me to open my paths.Throughout the time being a work in progress actor I was able to learn difference skills such as Team work and responsibilities. For example, by working with the people around me I was able to improve the skill of being a team player as I learnt how to help people whenever they struggle with stressful times or have trouble working around a problem, which then made me open my eyes and see that by working together you will have a greater chance at succeeding at certain parts of life.I think I have improved as a team leader, as I am now able to notice people who are in pain or struggling on a problem and be able to try and help them to resolve it therefore I think teamwork is a very important skill to earn in life. Some of the plays I performed were Oedipus,Macbeth,The cherry Orchard these plays were a big part of my acting career as these are the starting plays I performed in my acting life, which have tough me the starting skills of my education in 'performing arts'.Some of the skills these plays helped me develop were Confidence,Articulation and changing the volume of my voice.I have improved on confidence because I am now able to stand up with a variety of volumes of voices and scream, shout or even fall over without feeling shy ,therefore my confidence has improved as I am able to stand up in front of an audience and communicate as if no-one was in front of me which I believe is a brilliant skill to have in the world of acting. One of my hobbies is football as it's a really active sport but not only do you go around kicking the ball but you get to be put up to different challenges such as innovative, thinking before a move just like in acting where you have to think before you say something and how you produce that move to make the the audience notice you.I am interested in proceeding with the course of performing arts as I am passionate about meeting new challenges and digging deeper into a career that could create an affect on the world. For example, creating a piece that would prevent problems such as knife crime or racism,I would do this by using the skills of teamwork by working with youths so that they get a chance at a career they might be passionate about.
