Section 1 – Rationale (approx. 100 words)
This section provides an opportunity to reflect on, review and summarise
your progress and achievements through the first seven units. It also offers a
chance for you to take stock of the knowledge, skills and understanding you
have acquired, what you know now, compared with what you knew and could do
before you started the course, and how this has influenced your choice of
pathway and your project proposal.
I
believe over the last seven units as a person I have changed a lot because I
have developed many new skills and opened up many new pathways for myself.
For example, something which I really struggled with at the start of the
year is getting used to breathing exercises and warming up before acting. As the year progressed I learnt different
ways and techniques of how to get ready, for example one of the ways I
improved was by doing tongue twisters such as 'Red lorry, Yellow lorry'. This helped me a lot with my articulation
over the year because I'm able to pronounce words slower and more clearly. One of the pathways I think I have
developed and want to do more is 'film acting' because it's quite different
to being in a theatre as you get to be in front of a camera and get to
be a part of the film making process, which I find more enjoyable. Additionally, over the seven units I think
I got to see the bigger picture of acting and what it’s like developing as a
young actor. Lastly, some skills I
developed are leadership, teamwork and communication. As I
have worked with different people from different backgrounds, I have
been able to communicate with them and take on different roles such as being
a leader or a helper within the group.

Section 2 – Project concept (approx. 200 words)
This section provides an opportunity for you to clearly explain the
concept and aims of your project. This should include what you anticipate
producing, the research and ideas that will support its development and the
levels and types of resources that you will need to complete and present your
project realisation within the allocated timescale. You should include the
names of anyone you will be collaborating with and/or those who will perform in
your piece.
Answer:
The play
'Love and Information' is a very interesting piece because it has multiple
scenes where the story can be adjusted/interpreted in many ways. Therefore, this allows us as actors to be
very creative with the way we interpret every story in each scene, this makes
the play exciting because it allows you to be flexible with it. This bring my attention towards why I like
this play because the way Churchill wrote the play it allowed us to not have
specific scenes. So, if a love scene is
created then the love between the two characters could be interpreted in
different ways. Furthermore, the play
made me realize my creativity as an actor and showed me what I'm capable of
when given a piece of script and told to make a pieces out of physical theatre
with couple lines. his allowed me to
learn some skills such as leadership and teamwork because when we were paired
up in our twos then we would have to bring up ideas and take on roles so that
you could create a piece. Which meant in
order to create the piece I would have to step forward and show my ideas
physically. One of my favourite scenes I
had to play were 'Stone' which was performed with an actor in my class called Lucky. The scene was a really good scene that could
be shown in different ways. The way me
and Lucky interpreted the idea was through a scene of two bully's harassing a
innocent boy who was minding his own business whilst playing stones.
Section 3 - Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
This section provides an opportunity for you to explain how you will
reflect on and self- evaluate your work, as both an on-going activity and at
the conclusion of the project.
You should describe how you intend to record your decision-making and
how you will document developments as the project progresses. This evaluation
should reference your stated aims and be reflective and analytical rather than
a description of actions completed.
Anwser:Some of the aims I have for further projects are by having a creative insight into pieces when studying them, for example when a piece is to be played as comedy I will find the most creative way to interrupt the scene/play. Overall, I think 'Love and Information' was a very good play because it allowed me to record data of my self-improvement, within my acting skills and show a different side of me whilst creating pieces.
Proposed research sources and bibliography (Harvard format)
Record your intended research sources, both primary (from your own
first-hand experience e.g. practical studio research) and secondary (from other
sources), in this section. Sources of research should be as wide as possible
and may include: libraries, museums and galleries, books, film, magazines, TV,
radio programmes, websites etc.
Where appropriate you should use the Harvard system of referencing. The
bibliography should be continuously updated as the project progresses.

Project action plan and
timetable:
|
||
Outline your planning and organisation over a period of weeks and the
activities you will need to carry out in order to successful complete your
project within the agreed timeframe. It is important that your proposed
output is realistic so ensure you consider ambition and time when completing
this section. Make sure you include what you are going to do, how you will do
it and by when. The more time and thought you give to planning your project
the more successful it is likely to be. Remember to include time taken to
visit sources, sourcing materials, questionnaires, access to workshops,
tutorial and peer group feedback opportunities, as well as when you will incorporate
independent study.
